Almost every major gopher site can lead you to Veronica searching services and Veronica can search all of "gopherspace" (that's means it can do keyword searches both in the gopher server area you are in and throughout all the gopher servers available in the world). Veronica searches can be as simple as entering a single keyword or can include moe complex searches that can include AND/OR between keywords and can also include asterick (*) wild card searches too.

2. <B>Jughead</B>

Where you find Veronica - then you'll almost always find Jughead. Jughead does not do a search of all gopherspace - rather it only searches within the particular gopher site you are at when you initiate the search. This is a much faster service as your search is limited to the site. Of course this site-based searcher can help to keep your gopher searches quick and manageable.

3. <B>Archie</B> (for searching for files on FTP sites)

NO !!! Although it's name is reflective of the above comic book characters and keeps to the naming "thread" this searcher is for searching FTP sites and is not used to search Gopher sites.
